Villa Chandana, owned by a Cinnamon Planter family of four generations, is situated in the small town of Kandegoda close to Ambalangoda. The large bungalow with 2.5 acres of private land, partly planted with Cinnamon, offers you total peace and tranquillity. The villa is simply furnished with the comforts of modern conveniences. The furniture is a combination of an era past, and modern-day, and is enhanced by the use of colourful scatter cushions and soft furnishings. The gardens have been carefully manicured and are well maintained. To the rear of the villa, the garden cascades down to a natural-water well, providing a natural pool of water for bathing or refreshing oneself. Villa Chandana not only enjoys a peaceful setting, but is also conveniently located for many nearby attractions including the popular beach resort of Hikkaduwa (20 minutes away) and the historical world heritage town of Galle (40 minutes away), making this villa a perfect base for exploring south coast Sri Lanka. |

There are 4 double bedrooms with shared en-suite facilities. The rooms are simply furnished and the beds are draped with local handloom bedspreads. All rooms have a fan and a large mosquito net over the bed. Two bedrooms share one bathroom, comprising of separate WC and shower. All bathrooms have hot/cold water. The bathrooms are very basic and are characteristic of this type of property. |

There is a large living area with doors and windows opening onto the gardens, making this villa very airy and cool. The main living area provides comfortable seating for everyone with traditional Sri Lankan furniture, complete with planter's chair. There is also a further reading/ TV room with doors leading to the garden. Or you could disappear into the garden and find yourself a shady tree for total quietness. The large formal dining room has a spectacular dining table with seating for 14! There is also an everyday dining table with seating for 6. There is plenty of space for an extended family or two families holidaying together and children are welcome. |

The villa comes with a resident cook and caretaker. Guests have use of a private kitchen/pantry, which is fully equipped with modern conveniences including Fridge-freezer, microwave and gas cooker. The cook (who by the way does not speak English) can prepare excellent Sri Lankan dishes for you. The villa owners, Anoma & Chandana, will be happy to assist you with some suggested menus. As meals and drinks are not included in the price you will need to purchase all ingredients. This can be done by either going to a local supermarket yourself or by providing the cook with some cash and she will do it for you. A detailed account of the expenditure will be kept. Linen and towels are provided. Beds are made daily and the linen changed every other day. A laundry service is available (at additional cost, paid locally). |

Low Season: £50 per night for villa
High Season: £65 per night for villa
Payment Policy
A 30% deposit is payable upon confirmation of your booking. The deposit can be paid via our secure server or via bank transfer. Customers must pay all bank charges in the case of a bank transfer.
Balance payment to be paid directly to Villa Chandana at the end of your stay.
Cancellation Policy
The deposit is non refundable. |
