This exclusive country house in colonial style lies in the middle of a palm grove in the deep, tranquil south of Sri Lanka and is located directly by the beach. Owned by an European, the villa has been caringly furnished and maintained with comfort in mind. The palm fringed sandy beach, protected by coral reefs is just steps away. A large natural pool is 50 meters away and other romantic bays are near by. Villa Samsara is located 140 km south of Colombo at the coastal road to Matara. Guests should be aware that Villa Samsara does not have a swimming pool, the sea is your pool! Airport transfers and sight seeing tours of cultural monuments and national parks can be arranged locally by the hosts. Some of the local activities include: Biking and Fishing. There are diving centers in Weligama and Unawatuna and a tennis court is 2 km away at a nearby hotel. Daily tours are available on request (paid locally). Villa Samsara is not suitable for children under 12 years. Due to weather conditions and tides, swimming may be restricted during the months of May, June and July. Minimum stay is one week. There are 4 comfortable Bedrooms. Each room has its unique design and is beautifully furnished in colonial style. Some rooms have elegant 4-poster beds draped with netting and colourful bedspreads. All rooms measures 40 sqm and are equipped with hot water shower / wc / fan.

The pavilion with generous and shaded terraces invites you to relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the Indian ocean as well as the wonderful palm grove. You can dine at any one of the four terraces or in the living area and your attentive staff will serve delicious seafood, local, Asian and Chinese dishes. Villa Samsara is an ideal place to relax and unwind with no duties or obligations weighing on your shoulders. In the pavilion you can sit back and simply do as you please. For your comfort, the villa offers a Television, radio, a library, indoor-games, Ayurveda massages and body styling equipment. There is a large open-air courtyard with access to the beautiful botanical garden and the pavilion surrounded by shaded terraces |

The villa comes with a Manager, Chef, Steward and a Masseuse. The villa rate includes meals on a Half Board basis. An a la carte menu (starter/main course) is available in the evenings. Additional meals are available (from the a la carte menu). Beds are made daily and the linen changed twice a week. Towels are also provided. A laundry service is available (at additional cost, paid locally).

Nor do we charge you extra for on-line credit/debit card payments Pricing The following rates are PER PERSON per night (double occupancy) inclusive of Breakfast & Dinner. October - April: 39 Euros per night May, June, September: 32 Euros per night July & August: 39 Euros per night X'mas & New Yr: 48 Euros per person per night. Minimum rental period during Christmas is 2 weeks. Guests also receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine (1 bottle per room) on 31st December. All rates include Breakfast & Dinner (from a la carte menu) and all taxes. Please note, Villa Samsara charge an additional 11 Euros booking fee per person. This will be added to your final paymet. Payment Policy A 20% deposit is payable to secure the booking. The deposit can be paid via our secure server or via bank transfer. Customers must pay all bank charges in the case of a bank transfer. A further 80 euros per room is payable 7 days after your confirmation. This should be paid direct to Villa Samsara. Bank details to be provided once you have booked with us. The balance is to be paid 1 month PRIOR to arrival in Sri Lanka. Bookings within 30 days of arrival: full 100% of the rental sum has to be paid immediately upon confirmation. Cancellation Policy The deposits are non refundable. |
