This grand old villa is the largest privately owned villa in Galle Fort. Occupying three extensive floors of the former Hayleys Trading Company, this wonderful Dutch warehouse building boasts four independent suites. Furnished with wonderful peices of furniture, you are truly stepping back in time from the moment you enter... Located in the heart of the Fort, you are steps from the bustling streets and the famous Ramparts. The lovely intimate Galle Fort Hotel is just around the corner enabling you to use their facilities including their pool. The owners are due to build a private pool at Hayleys shortly. For those truly wishing to indulge can have a private massage - Thai or Sri Lankan - in the comfort and privacy of their own suite.

There are 4 wonderful Suites all with airconditioning. The Eyrie Suite - located on the third floor enjoys cammanding views over the Fort rooftops and allows spectacular views of the amazing Sri Lankan sunrises and sunsets from its louvred verandah. There is a modern bathroom with an oversize shower and a romantic four poster bed with crisp white netting and exquisite linen... The Library Suite - quite easily the longest bedroom in Sri Lanka ! With white painted walls and windows looking down to the courtyard frangipanis, the Library Suite has a modern bathroom, making this suite very comfortable and homely. There are 2 king size beds perfect for a small family. The Salon Suite - is a gymnasium sized apartment with a separate dressing room and huge arches which soar above the original mahogany floors. Located on the second floor it has its own wide internal louvred verandah and is furnished with a fine collection of Sri Lankan antiques. There is an antique Dutch four poster bed and two single beds suitable for children. The Garden Suite - full of charm and character leads directly to the pool (when completed). It has a lovely four poster bed and an ensuite shower room.

There is a large outdoor sitting area with oversized and very comfortable daybeds strategically positioned under lolling overhead fans! There is also an enormous lounge and dining area with a wonderful collection of C19th almiras and cabinetry and large comfortable sofas. Perfect for parties and large family get togethers. |

The villa comes with full-time staff including your very own houseboy. Breakfast is included only if the entire villa is rented and will consist of fruit, pastries and espresso or filter coffee served fresh to your doorstep direct from the Galle Fort Hotel. Guests renting individual suites may order breakfast from the hotel menu.

A conversion rate of 1.765 has been used. Low Season (May-Nov): US$400 (£230) per night for whole villa High Season (Dec-Apr): US$500 (£285) per night for whole villa Peak Season (Dec18-Jan8): US$600 (£340) per night for whole villa Smaller parties/couples may rent individual suites. The rates are as follows: Eyrie Suite: US$200 (£115) per night Library Suite: US$200 (£115) per night Salon Suite: (US$200 (£115) per night Garden Suite: US$150 (£85) per night Minimum rental is 5 days Payment Policy A 50% deposit is payable upon confirmation of your booking. The deposit can be paid via our secure server or via bank transfer. Customers must pay all bank charges in the case of a bank transfer. Balance payment to be paid directly to Hayleys on departure. Cancellation Policy The deposit is non refundable. |
