A stunning hill top residence elegantly positioned to command breathtaking views of Weligama, the hills of the interior and Indian Ocean beyond. Described as a contemporary "fortress in the sky" Cinnamon Hill was designed by Sri Lanka's leading architect, C. Anjalendran, a pupil of Sri Lanka's foremost architect, the late Geoffrey Bawa.

Cinnamon Hill is a working Cinnamon plantation spreading over 40 acres of estate land, producing high quality Cinnamon supplied to leading exporters of Cinnamon.

The villa is set in a peaceful and serene setting and is furnished with a great mix of contemporary and antique furniture. The pristine walls throughout are graced with an enviable collection of Sri Lankan fine arts.

There is a deep blue swimming pool in the forecourt garden with plenty of sun lounges for relaxing.

Cinnamon Hill is located close to Weligama Bay, and guests also have access to the owner's private beach available for picnics and swimming of course.

River trips, bird watching, diving, and adventurous sports are all nearby; and the Sigiriya Rain Forest, the colonial town of Galle and Matara, and the rock monastery of Murigakela are all easy day trips.

Cinnamon Hill can be rented as a whole villa or by the suite.

There is a further small bungalow available for rent. This is a lovely 3 bedroom compact traditional "Walauwa". Filled with antique Sri Lankan furniture and fine pieces of art. This bungalow is perfect for a small family. Though there is no pool, guests are invited to use the pool at Cinnamon Hill (to be advised at time of booking).

There are 3 good-sized double bedroom suites and a single bedroom. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities. The 3 larger rooms have their own private terrace/verandah. The bathrooms are luxurious and modern. All rooms have fans and mosquito netting.

The living room commands a favourable position to take advantage of the spectacular views of the ocean. The open plan design with large glass doors on two opposite sides makes this villa cool and airy.

A fabulous masterpiece sculpture dominates the central living area separating the dining section and the main lounge. A super room for evening entertainment; to watch the sun go down with a cocktail in hand.

There are plenty of private areas for couples renting a suite.

The villa is fully staffed offering a very discreet and professional service. The friendly team consisting of cook, houseboys, pool boy and a 24 hr security guard ensures that you want for nothing. The attentive service is exceptional.

Guests can choose Sri Lankan or Western cuisine, prepared to your own requirements. Alternatively, a daily menu will be provided.

A large western kitchen is available for those wishing to prepare their own meals. Though we highly recommend you take advantage of being pampered from the moment you arrive.

Pricing

Low Season (May-Nov): US$650 per night for exclusive use of the villa

High Season (Dec-April): US$800 per night for exclusive use of the villa

Peak Season (18 Dec-08 Jan): US$850 per night for exclusive use of the villa

The above rates include breakfast.

If renting by the room, US$250 per night for a double room with breakfast

The smaller 3 bedroom bungalow may be rented for US$350 during High Season and US$250 low season.

Payment Policy

A 15% deposit is payable to secure the booking. The deposit can be paid via our secure server or via bank transfer. Customers must pay all bank charges in the case of a bank transfer.

A further 30% is payable 7 days after your confirmation. This should be paid direct to Cinnamon Hill managing agents by bank transfer to Sri Lanka account. The final 55% balance is to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival at the Villa.

Cancellation Policy

The 15% deposit is non refundable.

In the event of a cancellation at any time, the villa charges a further 25% of the total cost.
