Pointe Sud, hiding behind unassuming gates, was created from the romantic ideal of a gift of love from an adoring husband to his wife. The house has been fashioned on a 'walauwa' manor house and great sensitivity has been used during the construction. Antique doors, window frames and tiles, all of local origin, Corinthian style pillars and a pagoda style roof gives this spectacular creation a unique style all of its own. Wonder through the villa and you will see old painted Indian temple doors, antique bookcases & cabinets and wonderful pieces of colonial furniture. There is a terraced garden with spectacular 180 degree views over the ocean...on one side sits a long strip infinity pool and 2 covered areas for relaxing to watch the passing ships or drift away into a deep sleep! Steps lead down the cliff to a manicured lawn and a BBQ area and a private gate on to a beach. This villa joins the elite few in Sri Lanka that are amongst the best in Asia.

There are 4 lovely ensuite bedrooms off the large central living area and a smaller bedroom located under the terrace. The smaller room (also with ensuite) is ideal for a single person or for children. Romantic 4-poster beds, bright coloured cushions and a collection of fine traditional furniture makes these air-conditioned bedrooms a perfect retreat from a hard day at the pool or by the beach!

There is a great modern kitchen of shiny granite, dark Jackwood and terracota tiles - housed in a separate block. A cook plus 3 male staff are assisted by one 'room-girl.' All meals are for your account but we can, with prior notice stock up the fridge for you. Thereafter discuss with the chef what is available - there are fresh fish markets daily but give a day or two notice for lobster. Small supermarkets for imported items in Galle or Matara (about 25 mins).

A conversion rate of 1.765 has been used. Low Season (May - 31 Oct): $ 1,400 (£795) per night Medium Season (Nov - 21 Dec): $ 1,500 (£852) per night High Season (August & 7 Jan - 30 Apr): $ 1,600 (£909) per night Peak Season (22 Dec - 6 Jan): $1,800 (£1,023) per night Payment Policy A 15% deposit is payable to secure the booking. The deposit can be paid via our secure server or via bank transfer. Customers must pay all bank charges in the case of a bank transfer. A further 35% is payable 7 days after your confirmation. This should be paid direct to Pointe Sud's managing agents by bank transfer to Sri Lanka account. The final 50% balance is to be paid one month prior to arrival at the Villa. Cancellation Policy The deposits are non refundable. |
