Built as a private family home, the owners have resplendently recreated the ambiance of a Balinese style home, in an amazing part of Sri Lanka. The design is of open plan living using every opportunity to enjoy great views of the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Though this is not a large villa, the design is exceptional. It is luxurious yet casual. The teak furniture is imported from Bali and the 100% crisp white linen from Italy. This is not just a villa, it is an elegant home. You can therefore expect the luxurious comforts you would expect at home. There is a lovely private swimming pool facing the beach and the ocean just a few steps away. For those wishing to really unwind, the staff can arrange for a masseur to visit the villa. Herbal baths and other therapies can be arranged. Hiru Sandu is also a lovely venue for a small private beach wedding, or perhaps renewal of wedding vows or may be a private birthday celebration. What ever you require, the staff are experienced and are happy to help. Tangalle is approximately 5/6 hours by road from the international airport. It is however possible to take a scheduled sea plane to Tangalle, which costs approximately USD200 per person one way.

There are 3 double bedrooms and a master suite all with ensuite bathrooms. All bedrooms come with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The entire first floor is dedicated to the large master bedroom suite. There is a desk area, a lounger with its own private terrace overlooking the garden with stunning sea views, an ensuite bathroom with separate shower and bath and an open-roof garden. There are 3 further double bedrooms located on the ground floor. Two of the ground floor bedrooms are very similar and come with ensuite bathroom with open-roof shower, a little garden, a verandah area and stunning views of the pool, garden and the ocean. The 3rd bedroom suite does not have ocean views, however, it is a lovely room with a wooden mezzanine level with the living area below.

There is a large living room with 2 built-in sofas that could double as a children/teenagers beds if needed. There is a lovely open-roof pond area in the middle of the house with lotus flowers. |

The villa is fully staffed. The cook speaks English and can prepare Sri Lankan, Western and Oriental cuisine. All meals are for your account. You can dine anywhere you please - in your room, on the verandah or even on the beach!

The deposit can be paid via our secure server or via bank transfer. Customers must pay all bank charges in the case of a bank transfer. Final balance payment to be paid directly to the owners of Hiru Sandu 3 months prior to arrival. Bank details to be given once booking is confirmed. Customers are responsible for all bank charges. For bookings within 12 weeks of arrival, 100% of rental cost to be paid upon confirmation. Cancellation Policy The deposit is non refundable. The final payment is only refundable if a replacement booking can be found. |
